gone out on his own. After 15 years in the third party architecture market, he's opened wmCM studio. His firm is a multi-disciplinary
design atelier focusing on fine art, furniture design, residential design and interiors. His studio will open in downtown
Fairhope January 1, 2009. Check out www.wmcmstudio.com for more details.
- Alix is in
her third year as an independent contractor for IBM. This is providing the optimal
flexibility required in the life of a working mom.
- 2008 has been an emotionally and spiritually
challenging year for our family. We lost Alix's stepmother, TJ (64), to brain cancer in early January. In February, our
loving lab Harley (12) passed. In April, Georgia's godfather, Glyn Cook (62) lost his battle with cancer. In August, my
childhood friend Cameron Manning suddenly lost her father. In October, our dear friend Carrie Dye (40) died of heart failure.
It's all been a little too much to handle, but will really make you realize how short life can be and you should treasure
everyday.
- On a brighter note, we do have 2 new additions to the family. We adopted
my stepmother's dog, a 2 year old Dandie Dinmont Terrier named Mac and have a Springer Spaniel puppy, June Bug (6mo). They
get along wonderfully with Kudzu, the four legged senior of the family.
